Gladstone Regional Council Tannum Sands Sewer Rising Main Replacement
Location:
Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands from the northern end to just south of the Surf Lifesaving Club.
Description of Works:
The existing 370m long sewer rising main pipeline, constructed in 1976, is located along the eastern side of Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands.
This asset has been condition assessed and identified as being at the end of its service-life and needing replacement. Loftus Contracting has been awarded the Contract to replace the Sewer Main.
Commenced and Completed:
Late January to May 2025
Works Completed:
- Removal and/or grouting of existing redundant sewer rising main (located under road and footpaths in some areas),
- Installation of new sewer rising main,
- New sewer rising main connection to the existing network,
- Testing and commissioning of the new sewer rising main.
Gladstone Regional Council
Auckland Hill
Stage Two
Location:
Auckland Hill, Gladstone Queensland.
Description of Works:
The GP Auckland Hill Stage Two project in Gladstone, Queensland, is the second phase of the redevelopment of Auckland Hill, a park and public space located near the Gladstone Port.
This stage focuses on enhancing the area further by creating a stunning lookout with views of the harbour.
Commenced and Completed:
Late January 2024 to April 2025

- New viewing platforms
- Carparks
- Garden areas and irrigation
- Renovated kiosk and bathrooms
- Wheelchair access ramps and more.
Mount Larcom State School Asbestos Removal 2024-25 Qbuild
Location:
Mt Larcom, Queensland
Description of Works:
The existing Primary and Secondary school builds share a combined 1360m2 of Asbestos containing material requiring safe removal and disposal.
Commenced and Completed:
December 2024 to January 2025
Works Completed:
- Upgrade Air conditioning to both Primary and Secondary buildings.
- Upgrade all existing electrical components and wiring.
- Design, fabricate and install a new handrail system to the primary buildings external staircase.
- Install new commercial floor coverings.
- Line ceilings and walls with new insulation, gyprock and paint.
MMC - Ausco Modular Home Building and Services Installation
Location:
Miriam Vale, Queensland
Description of Works:
Install Supplied Ausco Modular Home. Supply and install all residential services, landscaping and civil works required.
Commenced and Completed:
Late December 2024 to April 2025
Works Completed:
- Prepare vacant site for building works and services.
- Land and install prefabricated building
- Prepare detailed earthworks, drainage and landscaping.
- Install subfloor structure, ramps, concrete driveways and paths.
- Complete electrical, plumbing and air conditioning connections to new building.
- Handover new home.
Gladstone Regional Council Lowmead Rd & Granite Creek Bridge
Location:
Staged works along Fingerboard Rd – Lowmead Rd, Lowmead Qld.
Description of Works:
The Lowmead Road Safety and Sealing Upgrade project consists of four stages of road upgrades forecast to be completed on Lowmead Road.
Sections of road will be upgraded from the Fingerboard Road-Lowmead Road intersection to the town of Lowmead.
This project will provide an improved, more resilient road with alignment adjustments to offer increased safety for motorists and improved road resilience during wet weather.
